We choose countries for vacation based on climate conditions and time of year

It is important to remember that the same latitude often has different climates because the weather is also affected by sea currents, the landscape and the winds that blow in a given place. In principle, the tropics have only two seasons: dry and rainy. Sometimes they are distributed fairly evenly and last for about half a year. A good example is the northern part of Australia. The dry season here lasts from May to October, and the rainy season from November to April, when it is humid and hot, but frequent floods can prevent you from reaching certain areas. We choose countries for vacation based on climate conditions and time of year
Central America

Central America is a strange place. Countries like Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba are best visited during the dry season between December and April. If you want to avoid the season, you can go there at other times of the year, rain can always happen, but it usually lasts no more than an hour, and the sun shines for the rest of the day. Even worse, if you get caught in a hurricane, which usually lasts for several days, bringing with it a high risk of flooding. Storms most often occur in September and October.

Kenya

Many countries have two dry seasons and two rainy seasons, such as Kenya, which has an equatorial monsoon climate. Temperature differences throughout the year are small, but when the "Green Season" (the rain makes everything green) occurs, there are periods from March to May and November to December, when there are heavy rainfalls and storms, and many roads become impassable.

European countries, USA, Canada, Australia

The four seasons you know well (spring, summer, fall, winter) are typical for the temperate zone, for example, in most European countries, Canada and the USA. Of course, there are seasons in the southern hemisphere too, only the other way around, with July and August being winter, and December having the summer sun. This is the case, for example, in southeastern Australia, southern Chile and central Argentina. We choose countries for vacation based on climate conditions and time of year
central Asia

On the other hand, Central Asia, such as Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, is best visited in spring or autumn (April-early June or September-October). Summer is hot, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees! Unless you are heading to the mountains where it is colder, avoid July and August.

Southeast Asia

A separate category are countries where good weather depends primarily on monsoon winds blowing in a strip from the land or sea. The sea monsoon brings moisture and is synonymous with the word "rain". As a rule, it begins with a few rainy days, after which a quick shower or thunderstorm is observed. This is a signal to everyone that the dry period is over. After the first few days of tearing off the clouds, a more "stable" period occurs - it rains almost every day, at least 2-3 hours. The rain often appears unexpectedly: one moment the sun is shining, and the next minute everything is wet. Sometimes the shower is light, soft and short, but it can be very heavy, since there is no rule in the case of monsoons. Most of the world is within the reach of these winds. When it comes to popular places among tourists, these are primarily the countries of Southeast Asia, so it is better not to go there from May to October.

India

India has the same southwest monsoon that starts in June. There are regular rains in July, until September. In addition to the monsoon season, you should also avoid the period April-May, because then the temperature can reach 50 degrees. Remember, however, that India is a huge country and it is impossible to summarize in two sentences when it is best to go there. The climate varies greatly depending on the region. The monsoon does not reach, for example, the mountainous provinces in the north of the country, such as Kashmir or Ladakh. We choose countries for vacation based on climate conditions and time of year
Sri Lanka

A good example of the variation in weather in one country is also tiny Sri Lanka compared to India. There it rains from May to September, but mostly in the south, west and central part of the island, while you can go to the north and east coast during this time.

Thailand

When planning an expedition to Thailand between March and June, you should expect very high temperatures. From July to the end of October, the rainy season begins, with intense but short-lived precipitation. There are fewer tourists then, so you can expect lower prices. The most pleasant time for a holiday in Thailand is from November to February. The temperature is optimal, and the sky is almost cloudless. This is the peak tourist season, so it is worth booking accommodation and transport earlier.
