The latest stage of restoration at the Colosseum has been completed, revealing previously unknown details of the ancient amphitheater. Work at the entrance revealed elements hidden underground for centuries—the bases of columns and fragments of their original architecture.

Specialists restored the contours of the structure's historic perimeter, marking it with travertine blocks. This allowed visitors to better understand the scale of the building during the Roman era. At the same time, sections of ancient paving and architectural elements of the arcades, previously inaccessible, were uncovered.

Of particular interest were the discovered entrance markings: in ancient times, each arch had its own number, engraved under the cornice. This system helped visitors quickly navigate the vast amphitheater. Now, these details are once again part of the exhibition.

The restoration also included technical improvements: the drainage system was updated, improving the monument's preservation and tourist comfort. Furthermore, sections of the corridors, destroyed in the early Middle Ages due to soil instability, were partially restored.
