Argentina is a country of contrasts, exoticism, captivating spaces, and vibrant experiences. Its heart is Buenos Aires (the capital). This vibrant Latin American country spans all climatic zones. Its territory (with a total area of 2780400 km2) stretches across virtually the entire southeastern region of South America. It extends 1400 km from west to east and 3000 km from north to south. It borders Chile (with its southern and western borders, defined by the Andes), Paraguay and Bolivia (to the north), Uruguay (to the east), and Brazil (to the northeast). It has a population of over forty million people.
Language
The official language of Argentina is the correct form of Spanish with a local accent. The local population also actively uses the Argentino dialect (Castellano rioplatense) and Italian, which gained popularity thanks to the large number of Italian immigrants.
Religion
Argentina has declared complete freedom of religion. The majority of the population (92%) are Catholic Christians, about 2% are Protestants, and another 2% are Jewish.
Weather
Argentina's climate can be symbolically classified into three distinct "characters." Subtropics predominate in the northern part, humid tropical in the center, and temperate in the south. Furthermore, the Andean region is characterized by abundant rainfall and flooding in summer, combined with heat and dry winds, and by heavy snowfall in the mountainous regions in winter. Temperatures also fluctuate wildly, not only between seasons but also within a single day. Average temperatures range from 5°C (20°F) in December to 22°C (XNUMX°F) in July. Argentina's lowlands, covered in savannas and wild forests, are also heavily influenced by rainfall.
