The German National Tourist Board has published a long-term forecast in which the agency's analysts allow for the possibility of an increase in the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists to 121 million 500 thousand per year by 2030, which exceeds current statistics by approximately 80%.

The German analysts based their bold predictions on the annual growth rate of overnight stays, which has remained at 3.5% in recent years.

As for the growth rate of inbound tourist traffic, it is at the level of 3.3% per year, with up to 73% of all travelers entering the territory Germany, are made up of tourists from European countries.

It should be noted that there are all the prerequisites that in the near future the number of Ukrainian tourists visiting Germany will increase, arriving in the country not by air and rail transport, but by comfortable buses. Thus, the Kiev company LLC "Bens Express" has already launched a number of international flights, allowing Ukrainians to go by bus to Germany with maximum comfort and at much more favorable prices than by air transport.

In addition to the European tourist market, which is the main supplier of vacationers, Germany expects some growth in visits from individual countries of South America, the African continent and especially the rapidly developing countries of Southeast Asia. I would like to highlight the tourist traffic from China, which has been growing in recent years in literally all directions, including Germany. Let us recall that about 6 months ago the volume of outbound tourist traffic to China exceeded the fantastic number of 100 million people per year.

According to information from the authoritative World Travel Monitor study, in 2014, among all the countries of the Eurozone, Germany, with a figure of 49 million 700 thousand people, took second place in terms of the number of foreign tourists received, second only to the permanent leader of the rating – Spain, which has been visited by about 55 million travelers.

The revenues generated by the German tourism sector last year were also at a record level. According to official figures, European tourists (73% of the total) spent more than 2014 billion euros in Germany in 29.5. On average, European tourists spent 596 euros per person on one tourist trip to Germany last year.
