Canada is a center of attraction for tourists from all over the world. It is famous for its multifaceted culture, stunning landscapes of the wild nature of the North, many unusually beautiful lakes, the grandeur of Niagara Falls, Banff Park in the Rocky Mountains, the "factory" of the film industry Vancouver. It stretches from the border with the USA to the Arctic Circle. It impresses with the ecology and well-groomed mega-poles - Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec. It has the longest coastline in the world and is washed by three oceans at once (Arctic, Atlantic, Pacific).
What is prohibited for tourists in Canada?
Like any country, Canada has a unique natural and animal world, rare attractions and multicultural traditions. You can get acquainted with the life of Canadians, experience their hospitality with exceptional politeness, appreciate the harmony of Canadian multiculturalism only by going on a trip to a unique North American country.
It doesn’t matter where a foreign tourist goes on an excursion first (the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Calgary Stampede festival, Stampede Park, etc.), the main thing is that in Canada it is forbidden to:
- Doubt the existence of UFOs while visiting the province of Alberta. This is where, according to Canadians, aliens most often make themselves known. The town of St. Paul even has a real platform for meeting with aliens from other planets, which was built back in 1967 and contains a time capsule inside;
- Pay with small change for any purchase that is more than 25 Canadian dollars. This unusual law was adopted by the Canadian authorities back in 1985;
- Removing a bandage in public places. The same applies to any kind of bandages. The reason is to protect impressionable Canadians from unpleasant sights and negative emotional experiences. Those who disagree will face a real fine.
- Compare Canada and the United States of America. It is clear that for Canadians their homeland is more beautiful and nicer!;
- Invite a Canadian to a football match. Canada is 100% a hockey country! We've been here since childhood and everything is on the ice. Save football for a trip to Brazil! Don't make yourself or others look stupid. If you want to ask someone out on a date, ask them to a hockey game!
- Going to watch hockey empty-handed, as the Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss has been a tradition in Canada for many years;
- Drink coffee anywhere but at Tim Horton/Timmy. This is categorically frowned upon by Canadians. If you prefer Starbucks coffee + you don't know anything about Tim Horton - you won't be friends with Canadians!
- Stay on shore during the Polar Bear Swim, which has been held annually in Vancouver for 97 years!
