The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea has published on its official website a list of all beaches on the peninsula, compiled on the basis of data provided by administrative entities and municipalities.
The list includes a total of 487 Crimean beaches, including 338 public beaches, 78 health beaches and 71 beaches for children.
In addition, the list contains detailed information about the location of this or that beach (with reference to populated areas), its size (length) and category of use.
Crimean officials specifically emphasized that both the number and the stated functional purpose of the beaches are not final, as the information will be constantly updated. The department cited as an example the city administration's recent revision Evpatoria status of 7 beaches that have become public recreation areas.
