On Thursday, November 27, the body of 37-year-old Russian citizen Nikolai Solovyov was discovered on the grounds of the popular medieval fortress of Mogren in the Montenegrin resort town of Budva, RIA Novosti reported, citing Montenegrin media sources.
The body of a Russian tourist was discovered by a municipal worker during his daily cleaning of the Mogren Fortress. The Russian Consulate in Montenegro confirmed the man's Russian citizenship.
The cause of Solovyov's death remains unknown. A cursory examination by Budva police medics revealed no signs of foul play. The body has been sent for an autopsy, which should clarify the cause of his sudden death. According to unofficial information from Montenegrin police, suicide is one of the leading theories being considered for Solovyov's death.
