An incident recently occurred at Dalaman Airport that left all of Turkey perplexed. Fifty-three-year-old Marion Lamond, a Scottish citizen, flew from her home country to Turkey for a vacation with a friend using her husband's expired passport. She claims this was a complete accident, caused by her own carelessness and the negligent attitude of staff at Edinburgh Airport.
Marion can't understand how she could have been cleared to board the plane at the Scottish airport and then passed through passport control and check-in without issue. She claims she took her husband's passport through a stupid mistake, leaving hers lying on the counter at home. Had the error been noticed at the airport, her husband would have immediately brought her passport.
An unfortunate incident deprived the Scottish citizen of a vacation in Turkey immediately upon arrival. Upon discovering that Lamond had arrived on someone else's document, she was immediately sent back to Edinburgh. However, back home, the traveler purchased a new ticket to Turkey with a personal document in order to return to the eastern country and spend a planned vacation there.
