Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov told journalists that at a recent meeting with representatives of the leadership of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the issue of introducing a visa-free regime for Indian tourists to stay in Russia was closely discussed.

Indian tourists respect Moscow

Following the meeting, Manturov noted that he considers the abolition of visas for tourists from India to be the right direction for the development of interstate relations. The minister also stated that future plans include the introduction of a visa-free regime for Indian entrepreneurs as well.

Let us recall that not long ago India included Russia in the list of countries for whose citizens a simplified visa procedure is available. This is the so-called electronic visa, which is issued remotely (via the Internet), and finally certified upon arrival at one of the international airports in India.
