Russian authorities have banned certified employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs from vacationing abroad; a corresponding order has been sent to departments in all regions of Russia.

abroad good bye...

The order states that Russian police officers are prohibited from traveling to foreign countries, with the exception of the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. It should be noted that Ukraine, despite its membership in the CIS, was also included in the list of prohibited tourist destinations, and for travel to CIS countries, police officers will have to coordinate their route with their superiors.

Let us recall that the clouds began to gather over police tourists last year, when the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs distributed a document with list of more than 100 countries, travel to which is highly undesirable. However, at that time all these measures were only advisory in nature, which cannot be said about the latest ban.

According to unconfirmed information, the official reason for the ban on vacations in foreign countries for police officers is the increasing incidence of illegal actions and provocations against employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in a number of foreign countries.

Let us add that Russian police officers have only been informed verbally by management about the new ban.
