An unknown assailant, hiding his face under a mask, opened fire on tourists vacationing in a small hotel on the Datca Peninsula in Mugla Province, Turkey, on Thursday, July 30.
It should be noted that Datca is located in the same province as Bodrum, a resort popular with Russian and European tourists.
At least one person was reported killed by the gunman, and several others were injured. According to preliminary information, the victims terrorist Only Turkish citizens, including relatives of the mini-hotel owner, became victims. The criminal managed to escape, and all police forces are currently focused on capturing him.
So far, no radical organization has claimed responsibility for the shooting of tourists. However, let us recall that several days ago, members of ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) spoke out on social networks with threats against Turkey. The militants promised to carry out a series of terrorist attacks in Turkish resort towns in retaliation for the Turkish Air Force airstrikes on ISIS positions in Syria.
