As reported by the Minister for the Development of the Far East, Alexander Galushka, who returned last week from a working trip to North Korea, a bilateral visa-free regime will be introduced between Russia and the DPRK.

The Minister noted that the introduction of a visa-free regime is a complicated and rather lengthy procedure, but the corresponding decision has been made and recorded in the official protocol. Galushka did not specify when exactly the abolition of visas is planned, but stated that this issue will be closely studied in the near future.

It is worth recalling that, despite the fact that the DPRK is one of the most "closed" countries in the world, it has a well-developed tourist infrastructure. North Korean tour operators offer foreign tourists a range of entertainment, from visiting resorts with therapeutic mud, hunting and fishing, to an exotic holiday in an international pioneer camp.

However, the cost of a holiday in North Korea, to put it mildly, is "biting". Thus, foreign travel agencies working in the North Korean direction offer tourist packages for a fabulous one and a half thousand euros per person for a three-day tour.
