Numerous personnel and administrative changes within the new organization led to the inevitable reduction of some departments. In particular, the new system affected TUI's media resources.

The portal was launched in 1999, becoming one of the pioneers in the new at that time online booking areas. In 2007, it was bought by First Choice, which later itself joined TUI. At the moment, the management of the web resource laterooms.com is carried out by the London firm Arma Partners.

Earlier this year, TUI took over its entire changed the organizational system of its hotel department and now, instead of the category “Accommodation & Destinations” (A & D), the department for working with hotels and reservations will be called “Hotelbeds Group”.
