"Preparations for the opening of Egypt are already in the final stage. A separate terminal in Hurghada for flights from Russia is a logical outcome of the meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Transport with the Egyptian authorities and one of the final steps to strengthen the safety of air passengers.
I think that there is little time left before the resumption of air traffic between our countries. According to my estimates, full-fledged air traffic between our countries will be established by December. First of all, regular flights will be launched, then charters will fly to Egypt.
Opening of charters in Turkey triggered a wave of demand for flights to Alanya and Antalya. Most likely, the same thing will happen after Egypt opens: many Russians will celebrate the New Year holidays on the beaches of the Red Sea.
Prices for air tickets to Egypt will not increase either. The exception will be the first charter flights to the Red Sea resorts. Their cost may be higher due to the fact that the planes will fly back empty.
The cost of vacations in the current season should not increase. At least, high prices for tours should not be expected from Egyptians. Over time, when tourists feel the improvement of service at airports and on beaches, cost of travel packages may grow. But not by several times. First, tour operators and hoteliers need to regain tourists' trust, and only after that gradually include in the tour the security costs incurred by the government."
