The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, arrived on Wednesday, July 15, at the Simferopol airport to personally greet the two millionth passenger since the beginning of the year and present him with memorable gifts from the leadership of the Republic.

The lucky one was Muscovite Tatyana, who, having received congratulations and gifts from Aksyonov, sincerely thanked the management Crimea in his person for his contribution to the development of the peninsula. “We are very happy to come here and will come here again,” — said Tatyana, who arrived on a flight from Moscow.
Sergey Aksyonov, in turn, shared with journalists his joy that Crimea attendance tourists so far exceeds all expectations. According to him, according to updated forecasts, the Simferopol airport alone will serve about 3.5 million passengers by the end of the year.
Aksyonov did not miss the opportunity to call on Russians to patriotic feelings, and, in the opinion of many, he went too far in the heat of the moment, giving a very controversial definition of a patriot: "People willingly go to the republic for vacation, they trust the Crimeans, they trust Russia. Patriots have long since changed their vacation spot to Crimea, those who haven't changed, then they are not patriots."
