Istanbul summarized the price results for March: the dynamics were uneven, but overall, growth prevailed. Of the 336 goods and services monitored, 212 increased in price, while only 38 declined.

The most significant price hike was for vegetables. Eggplants increased by more than half, by 55,9%, leading the increase. The cost of lettuce (+45%) and bell peppers (+40%) also increased significantly. Airfare prices also increased by nearly the same 45%, which could impact travel activity.
Changes have also affected everyday expenses: fuel, medications, bus rides, and a number of other products have become more expensive. Experts attribute this situation to seasonal factors and general economic processes.
But amidst the growth, there were also items that saw significant price declines. Cucumbers fell by 26,5%, zucchini by 16,25%, and gold jewelry by 11,58%. Additionally, some fruits, fish, and car rentals became cheaper.

Experts note that such fluctuations reflect the current market situation and directly impact both residents' daily spending and tourists' expenses.
