Konya, Turkey, is home to an unusual place that is increasingly attracting tourists and nature lovers: the Konya Tropikal Kelebek Bahçesi Tropical Butterfly Garden. It is the first such facility in the country and one of the largest in Europe, housing an artificial ecosystem that closely resembles the natural habitat of exotic insects.

The garden's dome is home to approximately 10 butterflies representing 45 species. They were brought from various regions of the world, including the Philippines, Kenya, and Costa Rica. The usual restrictions are absent: visitors can move freely among the tropical vegetation, and the butterflies fly nearby, sometimes landing directly on visitors, creating a feeling of complete oneness with nature.

This place's popularity is growing rapidly. By the end of 2025, the garden had received over 600 visitors, confirming its status as one of the region's key attractions. Of particular interest is the rare Costa Rican king butterfly. This species is known for its impressive migrations—it can cover distances of up to 3000 kilometers. The exhibition allows visitors not only to appreciate the beauty but also to learn more about the delicate balance of ecosystems and the importance of preserving biodiversity.
