How many times have you seen on television the extreme descents of daredevils down mountain rivers? How many times have you seen footage of splashes and seemingly terrifying falls? Speed, water, adrenaline—these are the main characteristics of rafting. You've probably thought about participating in this activity at least once. But fear and apprehension often dampen your desires. Don't despair. Rafting in Turkey on the Dalaman River is a great way out of this situation.
A distinctive feature of rafting in Turkey is its absolute safety. Its charm lies primarily in the opportunity to combine extreme sports, a sightseeing tour, and the opportunity to admire the surrounding beauty.

The start of a rafting trip in Dalaman involves choosing your mode of transport. A 2-person kayak or a large 12-person boat (raft) will be available. The choice depends on the courage, swimming ability, and confidence of each participant. It's worth noting that those who choose a kayak have a greater chance of getting into the water.
It's best to wear swimming trunks, a bathing suit, or shorts. You can rent special shoes on site or purchase them at a store near your hotel. Cigarettes, money, and other items can be stowed in special barrels on the boats. And don't forget to bring drinking water.

Although Turkish rafting poses no health risks, participants are subject to a detailed, even tedious, briefing before embarking. However, a fun tradition of getting used to the water will invigorate everyone. The tradition involves wading through a pond with a water temperature of 5 degrees Celsius (12 degrees Fahrenheit). Joyful shouts and the urge to run across the surface are the main emotions that overwhelm tourists. After this ordeal, the XNUMX-degree water of the Dalaman River will feel like boiling water.
Immediately after launching the boats, it's still a bit uncomfortable. And the first rapid becomes a real challenge. That's when it takes your breath away. The adrenaline rush simply explodes. You want to scream and laugh. But, unfortunately, this thrill fades by the second water obstacle. Getting used to the experience makes the rapids less turbulent than they initially seemed, and the rafting process less dangerous. So, approaching the next "fun section," you want to paddle with all your might, increasing the boat's speed and boosting your adrenaline.
The instructors' training was a pleasant surprise. Pleasant and cheerful, they offer detailed explanations of the sights along the way, in addition to their immediate duties of steering the boat and ensuring safety precautions. But beware. Being thrown out of the boat is a common joke among all the instructors.
Exciting attractions await at the stops. A game of "chase me with the paddle" and a huge zip line across the river will enhance the rafting experience.
At the end, everyone will enjoy a delicious lunch, which you can enjoy while watching footage from a pre-edited film about your descent. The film and photos are also available for purchase after lunch.
Have a great time and don't deny yourself anything!
