Hurghada International Airport (HRG) is one of the three largest airports of this type in Egypt, along with Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh. It is located within the resort of Hurghada, 5 km from the historical center of the main settlement.
This complex was built in 2006, so it amazes visitors with its luxurious interior. The design in white-gray-blue tones, the abundance of greenery and cool air pleasantly surprise everyone who gets into its walls. By the way, about 7 million travelers fall into a pleasant stupor per year, from whom they are charged 7 dollars for the right to be on the territory of the airport.
Hurghada International Airport has an area of 180 square kilometers and only one terminal. It is the one that receives passengers of international and domestic airlines, so every traveler can find the room he needs.
Opposite the complex there is a parking lot, as well as taxi and minibus stops that carry out transfers of "their" tourists to their hotels. So that tourists at the airport do not waste time, there is a lots of souvenir shops, currency exchange points, storage rooms, a VIP-type hall for the elite, car rental and restaurants presenting cuisines of different nations. The downside is that there is no special hotel “for a few hours” near the airport and there is no structure for business tourists.
