Esenboga is the main international airport of Turkey, built in 1955, 28 kilometers from Ankara. The complex got its name from the village of Esenboğa, on whose lands it was built. By the way, translated from Turkish, the word means "calm bull".
This airport is considered to be unique in three ways. First, it is a backup landing site for NASA ships that are forced to land in the Eastern Hemisphere. Second, it is famous for its giant online scoreboard. Third, its terminals have 105 passport control desks operating at the same time, which is an absolute record for Asia Minor. The complex is considered a base port for well-known national airlines - Turkish Airlines, Turkuaz Airlines and AnadoluJet.
Special attention is paid to VIP passengers at Esenboga. They are met by an employee with a sign "PRIMECLASS", who takes the guest through a special sleeve and takes on all responsibilities for paperwork and registration. Upon boarding, the special passenger is delivered using a special minivan.
Ordinary mortals in Esenboga can count on a standard “comfort package” - duty free, parking, car rental, lounges and cafes, a hotel, as well as equipment that meets the needs of people with disabilities.
