Bursa-based Harput Holding CEO Muhammed Etkeser decided to try his hand at tourism and convinced his business partner Ismail Çelik, head of the İsmail Çelik İnşaat construction group, to join the effort.
According to the financial gazette Para dergisi, Çelik and Etkeser's joint venture İÇ-ME Turizm last week acquired the famous Uludağ ski resort hotel Karinna Hotel, which was previously owned by Koçoğlu İnşaat. The hotel, built 10 years ago, has 250 rooms with a capacity of 750 beds.
According to the latest information, the deal amounted to about 20 million dollars, not taking into account that the hotel is expected to undergo major repairs and complete renovation by the next season. Since it seems impossible to carry out the reconstruction before the beginning of winter, the hotel will welcome guests in its previous form this season. In addition to comfortable accommodation near the ski center, the hotel will continue to operate as a health complex for people suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction and excess weight.
Let us recall that at the end of last year, İÇ-ME Turizm already founded its first hotel project - a five-star hotel complex Mivara in the picturesque village of Gundogan near Bodrum, the opening of which is expected in May next year. The complex with an area of 20 m000 is located on the very seashore and consists of the main building Mivara Luxury Resort & Spa surrounded by 2 luxurious villas Mivara Premium Villlas, behind which there will be a complex of 16 apartment-type apartments Mivara Residence with an area of 26 m8.
