Journalists from Germany and Austria visited Izmir

After the successful visit of the press from Great Britain and Ireland to Izmir, journalists from Germany and Austria decided to get acquainted with the historical and cultural sights of Izmir. As last time, the staff of the Swissôtel Büyük Efes hotel took care of the accommodation and leisure of the dear guests.

Representatives of well-known European publications took part in the sightseeing tour: Home & Lifestyle, Darmstädter Echo, Business Traveller, Lübecker Nachrichten, Badisches Tagblatt, as well as the popular Internet blogger Leni Garibov. During their visit, the city's guests enjoyed panoramic views of the capital of the Aegean coast of Turkey, riding on an old cable car, after which they visited the key sights of Izmir and its environs: the historical districts of Karşıyaka and Kemeraltı, the ancient city of Ephesus, the monastery and house of the Virgin Mary, as well as the picturesque village of Şirince surrounded by vineyards.

During the four days, the group of journalists were accompanied on all trips by Swissôtel staff, who said that each landmark of Izmir left a strong impression on the visitors. Many guests expressed a desire to visit Izmir again and will certainly tell their readers about the trip.
