The end of October is always associated with the end of the "velvet season" in Turkey. By the end of the month, all tourists will leave the resort country and return home on charter flights. According to hotel owners at Turkish resorts, the past season was difficult and quite tense. After all, the absence of travelers from Russia significantly affected the profits of hotels. Some hotel complexes worked only half, and some closed altogether.
It is worth mentioning that the low demand for tourist resorts has led to the fact that in some hotels the attitude towards tourists who came for a holiday, despite the threats, was, to put it mildly, indifferent. Representatives of the tourism business explain such behavior by deep despair, however, in the current situation, it would be appropriate to make the holiday of tourists who risked coming, the most unforgettable.
This season, the five-star Marti Mira Hotel stood out the most, which was considered the most favorite place for family vacations for many Russian citizens. Previously, it attracted with excellent service, a large territory with playgrounds, animators and swimming pools. And the quality of food was always at the highest level. This season, it broke the record for negative reviews from tourists, because the hotel died, there were no animators, entertainment, choice of drinks, and for breakfast they served only oatmeal and yogurt.
Many tourists contacted their tour operators to move to another place. More than a hundred tourists left the hotel, and in the reviews they wrote that the hotel was ruined, because there was only bread left in the kitchen. And on October 15, the Marti Mira hotel closed, leaving its visitors who had paid for their vacation in advance without a roof over their heads. They had to quickly find an alternative.
In general, the tourist season was full of surprises and unexpected events. Despite this, Ukrainian tour operators noted an increase in demand for Turkish resorts, since Crimea is now closed to Ukrainians, but they really want to relax near the warm sea. Only at the end of the season, when Russian vacationers returned to the country, Turkey has slightly regained its previous position, and that is thanks to a reduction in prices for accommodation and recreation.
Turkey is heading into the winter season, so all-inclusive ski resorts are already preparing for the arrival of tourists. According to experts, it can expect huge demand, because even according to early booking results, it has already made it into the top three.
