The Izmir Culture and Tourism Directorate has released data on the number of foreign tourists who visited the province between January and November this year.
Compared to the previous year, there is a 30,32% increase in the number of arrivals in Izmir. by air, while the sea route lost 2,15% of popularity.
The total number of tourists visiting Izmir province increased by 13,57%, 56% of whom arrived by plane and 44% by sea.
Number of foreign tourists in Izmir over a period of 11 months compared to last year decreased by 7,3% and amounted to 1 people.
Comparing the data on the countries from which people came to Izmir this year, it turns out that in first place Germany: 2,63% more than last year, a total of 336 tourists. On the contrary, fewer tourists came from other countries. France ranks second in terms of the number of visitors – with minus 782% of tourists, followed by Italy – with minus 29,17% and England – 43,62%.
