Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced the imminent opening of the largest museum complex in the Middle East in the historic Adana region of the country's southern region, with construction already underway.

According to the Ministry, the total area of the complex will exceed 68 square meters. The Adana complex will include specialized museums on archeology, history and ethnography, agriculture, industrial production, and other topics.

In addition to numerous exhibits, the museum complex will feature a well-developed recreational infrastructure, including children's and sports playgrounds, cafes and cinemas, and several conference halls.

The ministry hopes that the opening of the grand museum complex in Adana will make this region of Turkey more attractive to both domestic and international tourists. It's worth noting that Adana Province has no access to the Mediterranean Sea, which has had a negative impact on the development of the tourism industry, which traditionally relies on beach vacations.

As it has become known, the first of the complex's many museums to open will be the archaeological museum, which will delight tourists with a unique collection of exhibits awaiting completion in storage facilities.
