Turkish airline Atlasjet, which flies from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport to Luton International Airport, has faced protests from its former customers in its first days of operation.
The deceived passengers could not remain silent after they learned about the resumption of joint flights of Atlasjet and KTHY (Cyprus Turkish Airlines) to London.
The slogans and posters that the protesters carried sharply criticize the airline's work and accuse its management of fraud. Accusatory slogans are visible everywhere: "Atlasjet deceived us, but we will not let others be offended", "First give back the money stolen from the people", "3 passengers deceived by Atlasjet", "Give us back our money", "We will not back down" and others.
The British press has also taken note of the situation. According to an article titled “We are protesting against Atlasjet,” thousands of passengers have suffered losses and have been deceived by the airline, while the protesters are trying to prevent a repeat of the situation and warn potential Atlasjet customers.
What happened?
On June 22, 2010, KTHY suspended its operations and cancelled all scheduled flights, signing an agreement with Atlasjet to transfer debt obligations to customers to it. As it turned out, the airline never fulfilled its promises, simply deceiving thousands of passengers.
