A new landmark has appeared in Antalya – the local “Eiffel Tower”, which has already begun to claim the role of the most interesting object of this hospitable resort city. The official name of the project is “Antalya EXPO Tower”, and local residents have dubbed the tower “Eiffel”. This magnificent architectural structure rises above the ground by as much as 101 meters, so the object is recognized as the tallest building in the city.
"Antalya EXPO Tower" was built in preparation for the tourism exhibition that will be held in Antalya in the second half of the year. By the way, the exhibition will have international status and the Turkish authorities decided to please the world community with something new and original. This is how Antalya got its own "Eiffel Tower". The structure is located on the territory of the EXPO exhibition center, where it is planned to hold the international tourism exhibition.
The name "Eiffel Tower" was not chosen by chance. The very first tourist exhibition was held in the capital of France in 1889, right after the construction of the Eiffel Tower. After that, France became popular among tourists from all over the world, and the city tower became a national symbol, almost all of Europe. Therefore, the famous resort should have famous attractions. Experts in the tourism business of Antalya predict that the EXPO-2016 exhibition will attract an additional 8 tourists to Turkey.
