In Antalya, a Russian schoolboy from the city of Yeysk, who was participating in the intellectual Olympiad organized by the International Academy of Tourism (EDUANT), was fatally hit by a car driven by a Turkish citizen.
As the portal "Yeisk.Info" writes, the deceased schoolboy is the grandson of one of the deputies of the Kuban Legislative Assembly. According to the portal, the Kuban parliamentarian, together with the boy's parents, urgently flew to Antalya.
It is reported that the Russian 7th-grader, together with his mentor, left one of the schools in Antalya on Wednesday, November 4, after one of the rounds of the Olympiad. Suddenly, a car driven by a 30-year-old Turkish woman came flying out from around a corner at high speed and hit the boy. The young Russian died from severe injuries in the intensive care unit of one of the clinics in Antalya.
It should be added that the deceased boy was a real intellectual, who was predicted to have a great future. In 2014, he became the absolute winner of a prestigious international competition and received a grant. Before his tragic death this year, the Yeysk resident managed to win three gold and one silver medal. It should be noted that the deceased, being a 7th grade student, participated in the Olympiad under the 8th grade program.
