Next year, as part of the International Sand Sculpture Festival in Antalya, Turkey, event organizers plan to create the tallest sand sculpture in history, writes Antalya Today.
According to preliminary information, approximately 10 sculptors and over 20 support workers will be working on the creation of this grand sand sculpture. The sculpture is planned to reach a height of 23.5 meters, which, if successfully completed, will guarantee it a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Work on the sculpture will begin in May 2015 on Antalya's famous Lara beach and will last approximately two months.
It's worth noting that the International Sand Sculpture Festival in Turkey has been held since 2006 and consistently attracts tens and hundreds of thousands of tourists. The average attendance at the sand sculpture exhibition in Lara per season (which runs from May until late autumn) exceeds 150, a significant number of whom are international tourists.
