Compared to the data of the previous year, 2013, the number of foreigners visiting Turkey increased by 5,5%.
The Turkish Ministry of Statistics has released data on foreign citizens crossing Turkey's border in 2014. According to these figures, the number of arrivals increased by 5,5%, rising from 34,9 million to 36,8 million.
Number German citizensThe number of tourists visiting Turkey in 2014 was 5,2 million, a 4,1% increase from 2013 million in 5. Russia, with 4,4 million citizens choosing Turkey as their primary vacation destination, ranks second. Other players in the Turkish tourism market also showed good results: France, the United States, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Ukraine, and Norway. The popularity of Turkish resorts among the latter, for example, increased by 13% and 20%, respectively.
