In the Marmaris area, tourists are increasingly discovering not only popular beaches and bustling hotels, but also secluded natural locations. One such spot is Nimara Cave, an ancient grotto located on the so-called Paradise Island, which is actually a peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus.
You can get here by public transport or car in just half an hour, but the main feature of the route is its atmosphere. The last hundreds of meters of the route run along a quiet forest trail among the rocks, where there are practically no other hikers. This creates a feeling of complete isolation from civilization.
The cave itself is impressive: massive stone vaults, stalactites, and stalagmites create an almost fantastical landscape. According to experts, natural processes within the grotto continue to this day. Silence reigns within, and the space seems to "tear" one away from the usual rhythm of time.
