As it became known from the report of the Kazakh information and entertainment channel "STV", the National League of Consumers of the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to seek the seizure of the property of the infamous travel company "Gulnar Tour", which this year was involved in several high-profile scandals caused by problems with sending tourists to Turkey and returning them to their homeland.
The head of the National League of Consumers of Kazakhstan, Svetlana Romanovskaya, told journalists that work is already underway to prepare a lawsuit that demands that the actions of the tour operator Gulnar Tour be recognized as contrary to the current legislation of the Republic.
Romanovskaya noted that if the first lawsuit is successful, the league will demand the complete seizure of Gulnar Tour’s property, which, after being sold at auction, will become a source of financial compensation for damages for hundreds of Kazakhstani tourists who suffered from the tour operator’s illegal actions.
The last straw, according to Romanovskaya, was a recent incident when Gulnar Tour failed to take more than three hundred Kazakh tourists out of Antalya, Turkey, on time. The reason for the delay in departure from Turkey for several days was an expired permit for the charter flight that was supposed to return the tourists home.
