According to Davut Çetin, President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the beautiful city of Antalya, Ukrainian tourists have been visiting the resort town more frequently this year than in previous seasons. Since January of this year, 88% more travelers from Ukraine have vacationed on the sandy beaches of the tourist city.
It's worth noting that this resort only attracted 50 tourists from Russia. Compared to previous successful years, tourist flow has plummeted by 90%. Davut Çetin reported that they were only able to partially compensate for the lack of Russian travelers by increasing demand from other countries. In particular, Antalya was very popular with tourists from Israel, Ukraine, and Iraq. Furthermore, this year the resort was popular with residents of Saudi Arabia. Even the increase in the flow of tourists from Israel by 44% and from Azerbaijan by 39% did not replace Russians in Antalya.
