According to the decision of the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court of Almaty dated August 22, 2014, the Gulnar Tour Travel Company was deprived of its license to conduct business in the field of tourism services.
The court hearing was held on the fact of a civil claim filed by the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan to deprive the Gulnar Tour company of its license to operate as a tour operator.
Let us recall that this year, the Kazakh tour operator Gulnar Tour became involved in several high-profile scandals related to the organization of citizens' vacations at Turkish resorts. Due to the company's fault, Kazakh citizens had serious problems both with flying to Turkey for vacation and with returning home.
Several prosecutor's inspections of the company's offices have revealed serious violations in professional activities. According to preliminary data, the financial damage suffered by clients of the tour operator "Gulnar Tour" exceeds the amount of 30 million tenge. At the moment, a criminal case has been opened against the managers of "Gulnar Tour" on charges of fraud.
