General Director of the Alkoclar Kemer Hotel in Turkey, Metin Peltek, assessed the latest events taking place on the Russian market. Peltek, analyzing the situation with the ruble, said that it has already begun to experience the negative consequences of devaluation in Russia.
"Tour operators in Russia have not yet announced prices, so the situation with early booking is very bad"“- admitted the Turkish hotelier.
"In this situation, hoteliers and agents must unite and, without lowering prices, extend the early booking period, which will calm tourists and facilitate the purchase process. The goal of hoteliers should not be high occupancy, but reasonable occupancy at a good price and customer satisfaction. Low prices and unhappy guests will harm the country's tourism. We cannot reduce our already very low prices, otherwise it will take years to recover. The Ministry of Tourism and relevant organizations must implement an anti-crisis management program, and the necessary measures must be implemented very quickly.", said Metin Peltek.
