National Geographic's subsidiary Nat Geo People is preparing an educational series about the work of international airlines to illustrate the hard work of the people who serve millions of passengers around the world every day. To do this, the channel's employees will be given access to the cockpit of Turkish Airlines.
The filming of the TV show is scheduled for October 2014, and the program will be launched in November. The Nat Geo People channel strives to show viewers a real picture of the world. In the channel's original programs, people from all over the world talk about their daily lives, work and hobbies. This time, the creators of the program will find out what is hidden under the complex system of passenger air transportation using the example of the Turkish Airlines company.
The program will reveal to viewers the multifaceted and seemingly confusing inner world of airplanes and airports. Looking behind the scenes, viewers will be able to follow the work of all accompanying services and control systems, from the control room to the check-in counter, from the aircraft crew to the runway maintenance and baggage claim area. And most importantly, it will be about the well-coordinated team of Turkish Airlines employees, where each person occupies a strictly defined and very responsible position.
The program will be filmed in Istanbul at Ataturk International Airport. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch the airport in real time, hear passengers' feedback and presenters' comments, and see for themselves what the seemingly calm and unperturbed airport staff actually do. While watching this program, many viewers will be treated to surprising discoveries and unexpected answers to questions that have previously interested them.
