According to Maya Lomidze, who is a representative of Ator, from 7 thousand to 3,5 thousand people fly to Turkish resorts every 5,5 days. The number of people who dream and want to spend their vacation at one of the resorts in Turkey is much larger, but due to the situation with charter flights, they do not have such an opportunity yet.
Depending on the number of departures, this figure may vary slightly. Thus, according to her, on weekdays the number of tourists barely reaches the lower limit of 3,5 thousand. Whereas on weekends and holidays, it can reach 5,5 thousand people. If we compare with the same period last year, then in August, about 400 of the Russian population visited the country's resorts at the same time.
At this time, it is not worth hoping for such unrealistic figures. This year, due to the threat of a terrorist attack, the cold relations between Russia and Turkey, there are much fewer people wishing to leave in this direction and now we can only hope that demand will resume at the beginning of next year.
It is worth noting that at present, Russians who vacation in Antalya are residents of 11 large cities of Russia.
Let us recall that 17 days ago, the Russian president lifted some of the restrictions that were imposed on Turkey, its services and goods. The decree lifted the bans on regular flights to this country and the distribution of tourist packages. Such changes became possible after Erdogan (President Turkey) apologized to the parents of the deceased pilot of the Su-24 aircraft, which Turkish military forces shot down in November last year.
