The first seal has been put on the contract for the new Hyatt Regency Hotel on the coast in Atakoy, Istanbul. It is scheduled to open in three months.
Tavros Investment Holding acquired the land for the hotel through an auction held by TOKI (Ministry of Housing Development). The Atakoy Coast is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations and the last natural beach in Istanbul. This is the largest investment project of Tavros Group.
The Bakırköy Municipality, which includes the Ataköy district, organized a ceremonial event called the “Celebratory Protocol” dedicated to the start of the construction of the Hyatt Regency Otel. During the event, a special team of expert engineers inspected the construction site and gave official permission for the construction work.
One of the working moments was the discovery during the examination of some shortcomings in the design of the mechanical area, swimming pool, toilets, kitchen and entrance area. To which an assurance was received from the administration of the hotel under construction about their prompt correction.
The situation is more complicated with the 70-meter towers that are part of the Hyatt Regency Otel project. The terrain and sandy soils of the beach require additional permission for their construction. Official papers have not yet been received; the hotel administration is waiting for a court decision on this matter.
