The country of four seas showed unprecedented hospitality, generously offering discounted tours and great deals on excursions, entertainment and overall leisure activities. In fact, the republic showed with all its appearance that Russian tourists are welcome guests.
Over 4,7 million Russians visited the republic in 2017 – even before the start of the season in Turkey, they could only dream of such a result. But success was not achieved out of nowhere. Given the turbulent situation and tense relations in 2016 between the two countries, domestic resorts had a good head start on their main competitor. However, neither Crimea, nor the resorts of Kuban, nor any other domestic beach destinations made the slightest effort. Perhaps, prices in some places only became higher.
Apparently, domestic resorts believed that the Turkish tourism sector would not recover from the events that had taken place soon, Egypt was still far from opening, and Greece, Spain, Cyprus and the UAE would not be able to get away with too many tourists. In fact, everything turned out to be much worse for Russian resorts. The Republic literally became the hit of the past year among domestic tourists.
The familiar atmosphere, the price-quality ratio, reduced prices for tours, the beloved All inclusive, good service, active work of travel companies and organizations during early booking, thanks to which it was possible to awaken the appetite of Russian travelers to return to the Turkish coast and, most importantly, vacationers from the Russian Federation in Turkey were eagerly awaited, since without them the 2016 season was boring and with low incomes.
