The Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region has launched a program of free advanced training courses for tourism workers, the best students of which will undergo a week-long internship in Turkey.
According to statistics, the number of Russian and foreign tourists visiting the Tyumen region has doubled over the past few years. However, against the backdrop of this favorable news, the level of service in the region's sanatoriums, hotels and inns leaves much to be desired.
There are 168 travel companies operating in the region, including representative offices of the largest domestic tour operators. However, the problem of selecting truly highly qualified employees is very acute. Representatives of the Department reasonably believe that by giving the best visitors of advanced training courses, who will be identified by testing, an opportunity to intern in Turkey, they will thereby take the right step towards improving the level of service at tourist sites in the region.
