On Sunday, August 10, a passenger plane of the Turkish airline Turkish Airlines made an emergency landing in Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria) due to an ordinary laptop forgotten by one of the passengers of the previous flight, which the crew of the plane mistook for a bomb, - reports the portal Avia.pro

the bomb turned out to be an ordinary laptop

During a flight from Brussels to Istanbul, passengers noticed an unattended laptop. The search for the laptop's owner, organized by the crew, yielded no results. And then, the captain of the crew, deciding that the direct presidential elections taking place in Turkey for the first time in half a century were the perfect moment for a terrorist attack, asked the dispatchers at Sofia International Airport for permission to make an emergency landing.

The task force of sappers called to the landed Turkish Airlines plane took the suspicious object outside the airport, where the "bomb" was forcibly detonated. The examination of the fragments of the object left after the explosion clearly showed that it was an ordinary laptop left behind by a forgetful passenger.
