Gazi Murat Şen, President of DENTUROD, assessed the situation regarding hotel occupancy during and after the Bayram Kuban holiday.
Hotels are 92% booked for July and August. Demand only increases until November, regardless of holidays and the end of the tourist season.
The President of the Denizli Association of Tourist Hotel Owners and Operators stated that "Pamukkale is experiencing significant demand from tourists from the Far East. People are particularly booking from such distant regions as Thailand, Korea, Malaysia, India, and Mongolia. Interest is also growing from South American countries – Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Only 10% of the total occupancy rate is domestic; the majority are foreign tourists."
Increased demand for vacations in Pamukkale from the Far East has led to a rise in the popularity of the Turkish Republic's tourism sector and a corresponding increase in budgetary funds.
Pamukkale is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in the ancient city of Hierapolis in southwestern Turkey. A resort was established here as early as the 2nd century BC.
