As it became known from the report of the National League of Consumers of Kazakhstan, on July 22, four lawsuits were filed in the judicial authorities of Astana against the travel company "Gulnar Tour", which this summer became involved in several high-profile scandals regarding the disrupted vacation of clients at resorts in Turkey.
According to preliminary information, two lawsuits from citizens of Kazakhstan have been filed with the Interdistrict Economic Court of Astana with a demand to recognize the actions of the Gulnar Tour company in refusing to fulfill its obligations (which were spelled out in the tourist agreement) as illegal.
The other two claims were submitted to the Saryarka Court of Astana for consideration, demanding that Gulnar Tour pay the money spent on tours to Turkey, since the company did not fully fulfill its obligations to transport tourists, ensure their accommodation in hotels, etc. According to the National League of Consumers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the amount in question exceeds 1 US dollars (500 thousand tenge).
It should be noted that the total amount of damage caused to citizens of Kazakhstan by the illegal actions of the tour operator Gulnar Tour is estimated at around 30 million tenge (more than 160 thousand dollars).
