Turkey's largest theme park, Wonderland Eurasia, opened last week in the capital Ankara and has already attracted nearly a million visitors.
The capital Ankara's new theme park, Eurasia Wonderland, formerly known as Ankapark, has seen nearly 980 visitors since its inauguration. "Although it was a weekday, about 000 people came to the entertainment complex. And a couple of days later, the number reached 230. This is quite a significant number," said Mehmet Ozaseki, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) mayoral candidate in the province, during a visit to the park.
"Ankapark" is the largest theme park in Turkey and, according to its founders, the largest of its kind in Europe. Built on 1,3 million square meters, the complex boasts 26 large rides and 2117 smaller attractions housed in 13 huge tents and an open-air area. There is also a fountain that can spray water 120 meters high, parking for thousands of cars, a 5-kilometer-long railway network, and solar panels that generate electricity for parts of the park located in the capital's Yenimahalle district.
