The latest edition of IMEX, one of the largest international events in the business tourism and MICE industry, was recently held in Frankfurt. The Chairman of the Antalya Promotion Foundation (ATAV) considers Turkey's participation in the exhibition an important preparatory stage before the annual ICCA congress, which will be held in Antalya in early November.
This year, Turkey was represented by 40 organizations from different cities in the exhibition area of 400 square meters. One of the participants was the Antalya Promotion Foundation, which is going to host the annual congress of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) in November this year. The purpose of the Foundation's participation in the IMEX fair was to present Antalya as a potential partner in the field of event and business tourism.
As the Chairman of ATAV and Antalya Congress Bureau Nizamettin Şen noted, "According to preliminary data, 1250-1500 people will take part in the upcoming ICCA congress. The event will be held in Antalya from November 1 to 5. We are already fully engaged in preparations for the congress. For Turkey and Antalya in particular, it is very important that everything goes perfectly. In addition, for Antalya, the ICCA congress will be the first event of this scale."
In addition, within the framework of IMEX, a presentation of the project of the World Exhibition EXPO-2016, which will be held in Antalya in 2016, was held. In addition to Antalya, representatives of tourism organizations from Izmir and Istanbul took part in the IMEX exhibition.
