Middle-aged tourists spend the most money on holiday

The international search engine Skyscanner conducted a survey of its Russian users about how much they are willing to spend on a holiday this year.

The international search engine Skyscanner, the world's largest Internet portal for searching, comparing and booking airline tickets, conducted a small study. The survey questions were offered to Russian-speaking users and concerned the specifics of planning vacation expenses.

As a result, interesting data were obtained.

• 65% of respondents responded that they have definitely decided where they will go on holiday this summer;

• 85% of respondents plan their vacation budget in advance;

• 34% of them admitted that they spend more during their vacation than they planned.

At the same time, people under 24 usually strictly adhere to budget plans. But middle-aged people (40-50 years old) in most cases go beyond the amount set aside for expenses.

In 2014, on average, each Russian will spend 84 thousand rubles (approximately 2400 dollars) on vacation. The largest vacation budgets are for residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Far East and Siberia.
