Hatay Mosaic Museum

The New Archaeological Museum of Hatay will display exhibits that were kept in storage for a long time due to the small exhibition space of the old museum.

Hatay Province Governor Celalettin Lekesiz noted in his speech that the New Museum will become an impetus for the development of tourism and culture not only in the region, but also in Turkey as a whole.

According to the governor, the New Museum will display a collection of mosaics from the old museum and its storage rooms, and completely new, never-before-exhibited examples of mosaic art, which are still in the excavation stage, will be restored and included in the exhibition. Thus, the total area of the exhibition will be 5 thousand square meters. This will allow it to become the largest mosaic museum in the world. The opening of the New Museum will give a serious stimulus to the development of tourism and cultural life throughout the country.
