The Çamlıca Mosque in Istanbul was decorated with a crescent-shaped spire over the weekend.
The unique structure is planned to be opened in almost 3 months and the construction process is in the active phase of the final stage. The height of the spire is 7,77 meters, one of the companies of the republic was responsible for the creation of the project. The upper layer of the mosque weighs more than 4 tons, steel was chosen as the material for its manufacture. The powerful top was covered with gilding.
A grand opening ceremony is planned. A large-scale iftar awaits over 10 guests of the Muslim temple. Regarding other details of the religious event and the program of the celebration itself, it will become known closer to the opening of the mosque.
The construction started in 2013. According to the developer, the mosque is almost 80% complete. During prayers, about 60 believers will be able to be inside the building. The design was developed by two women - Hayriye Gul Totu and Bahar Mizrak. According to preliminary data, the cost of building a grand temple of the Muslim religion is estimated at 000 million dollars. The area of the building occupies 66,5 square meters. During the design, all the necessary conditions that will be required for believers for maximum comfort were taken into account. In general, the Camlica Mosque provides for more than just visiting prayers. Also, the huge territory has allocated space for an art gallery, an Islamic library and a museum.
