As it became known from the press release of the Russian cruise company “Black & Baltic Seas Cruise”, sent on April 1 to travel agencies, the popular cruise “Five resort capitals of the Black Sea” changed the rotation of ports along the route. In the new version of the cruise program, Odessa is replaced by Istanbul.
As the management of the company "Black & Baltic Seas Cruise" notes, this difficult decision was made in connection with the tense relations between Russia and Ukraine and it is dictated primarily by concern for the safety of passengers in the ports of stay of the cruise liner.
Also, representatives of "Black & Baltic Seas Cruise" emphasized that replacing a visit to Odessa with Istanbul will not entail the need for passengers of the liner to obtain a foreign passport. As before, a general civil passport will be sufficient.
Igor Ryurikov, who holds the position of President of the Association of Participants of the Cruise Market of St. Petersburg, specified that the Turkish side showed great understanding and expressed hopes for deepening cooperation with the St. Petersburg company, which resulted in reaching agreements on visiting the territory of Turkey without a visa and foreign passport.
