As it became known, 15 Russian citizens who were on a cruise on the Black Sea on the ship "Adriana" as part of a tour purchased from the recently closed St. Petersburg tour operator "Expo-Tour" remain in Istanbul without the possibility of independently returning to their homeland.
The bankruptcy of one of the oldest tour operators of the Russian Federation, Expo-Tour, caught travelers on July 29 on Turkish soil. The insurance company Advant-Insurance, which according to the terms of the contract was supposed to finance the return of the Russians home, refused to fulfill its obligations, considering this case uninsurable.
RST (Russian Union of Travel Industry) stated that Advant-Insurance is obliged to return tourists to Russia, and the refusal is a direct violation of the agreements. Meanwhile, while the companies are sorting things out among themselves, 15 tourists have contacted Turpomoshch with a request to somehow move the matter forward.
